The team at Rathbone Falvey Research is excited to announce that we are adding a new role to our team: Research Director.

We have a strong preference for candidates located in the Boise, ID area. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of working from our offices in Boise, ID, with some remote flexibility, and at various candidate locations.

Relocation assistance is not available for this role. This is a senior level, highly visible position which reports to the CEO.

If you accept this role, by the end of your first year you have achieved the following:

+ Achieved at least $200,000 in new recognized revenue from new client projects

+ Achieved a client NPS of 90 or higher

+ Achieved a 90% endorsement from CEO for research design and execution

+ Published at least one internal research project as a significant contributor

In this role, here’s what we’ll expect you to do:

Deliver complete, thoughtful, and accurate projects to clients.

You’ll craft bespoke research plans for each client, which meet the highest standards; and you’ll be expected to provide accurate insights that support strategic business decisions. This involves consulting with clients to define their problem and secure buy-in for recommended solutions.

You will work closely with clients to ensure agreement with research design before launching a project. You’ll manage and participate in participant recruitment and panels, document findings and data appropriately, and upholding the integrity of the research plan.

You will work quickly without compromising quality. You’ll translate research into strategic, actionable insights and present them compellingly to build clients' confidence in our firm.

Develop research proposals for potential and existing clients.

You will develop research proposals in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs) and engage with potential clients related to inbound business development opportunities. You’ll work with clients to conduct an intake and needs analysis and then develop proposals that meet the stated needs.

The proposals will be creative, strategic, and based on sound approaches to research. Additionally, you will work with the business development team to ensure that proposals are delivered on time and meet all necessary requirements.

Lead internal research efforts and support team members in company focused projects.

You’ll lead internal research efforts and projects in addition to client-facing engagements. And you’ll act as a subject matter expert, contributing guidance, support, and thought leadership to other team members’ efforts.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to lead and inspire teams to achieve common goals. They are also able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They are proactive and take ownership of their work, always striving for excellence.

In addition, they will have the following:

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher, in a research focused discipline, a social science or similar

+ You’ve held at least one role, at a mid to senior level in which you were directly responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative research

+ At least three years of experience in which you held direct responsibility for client interaction and client management

+ At least three years of experience in which you were directly responsible for leading research projects

+ Strong analytical skills to assess and interpret data, market trends, and consumer behavior

+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey messages to internal and external stakeholders

+ Proficiency in project management to successfully manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks

+ Creative problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges in a timely and effective manner

+ Ability to think strategically and execute tactics to achieve business goals

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all work
